The Licking County Courthouse was built in 1878 and is considered the “Crown Jewel” of Newark, Ohio.
The Tradesmen Group and it's key employees have been involved in several
renovations, the latest being the removal and replacement of the shingled
roof completed in 2003. Other trades performed in previous phases
include terne coated stainless steel sheet metal repairs of the ledges,
cornice and clock tower. Our craftsmen fabricated and installed new
dormers to match the existing using terne coated stainless steel.
This restoration included extensive sheet metal repair.
The statues and clock tower dome were gold painted in the 1990’s.
It was a pleasure serving the Licking County Commissioners in restoring the courthouse to its original beauty. It is a tribute to our employees and their craftsmanship as the courthouse is as beautiful today as when it was built in the 1800’s. |
