| This project was the winner of the 2006
IDA Lee Willis Project Award for Historic Preservation by the Kentucky
Heritage Council at the Kentucky State Historic Preservation Office.
The Tradesmen Group, Inc. worked closely with a local historic
arcitectural firm and a team of engineers to prepare a restoration
strategy for their decaying steeple. The structural stabilization
phase included replacement of wood member supports, brick restoration,
ornamental sheet metal replication, and new slate roofing. We also
provided masonry restoration services and gold leafing on the newly
restored cross set at the top of this beautiful historic downtown
steeple. Below are before and after pictures of the project.
